Therapy

The aim of therapy is to provide you, the client, with a safe and confidential space to explore thoughts, feelings, relationships, changes, problems, or life events. The role of the therapist is to help you work through things in a non-judgmental way and with the support of evidence-based theory and practice. Working together, I can help you gain a greater understanding of yourself, so that you can find solutions, take actions and grow in ways that feel authentically in line with your goals and values.

I am an HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist, as such I practice in accordance with the BPS (British Psychological Society) code of ethics and HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council) standards of practice.

I am a pluralistic therapist, which means I combine approaches to adapt how I work to best meet my clients’ preferences and needs. My practice is informed by humanistic approaches and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I also frequently use creativity, nature and mindfulness in my work. I am a holistic practitioner, meaning I will consider mental, physical, social and spiritual wellbeing, as I believe these to be interrelated.

I aim to make therapy as accessible and supportive as possible. If there is anything I can do to help you feel more comfortable or make sessions work better for you (for example adjustments related to neurodiversity, disability or personal preferences) please let me know at any time. I am happy to discuss any adaptations that might support your engagement in therapy.

Safety & Privacy

Your safety and privacy are important to me. I will always respect you as an individual, and do everything I can to build and maintain a relationship of trust and a relationship that is beneficial to you. I adhere to professional guidelines around confidentiality and safety, and we will discuss these before starting work together.

Fees & Appointments

I offer an initial 30 minute session free of charge to explore whether I will be a suitable fit for you as a therapist. If we decide to work together, sessions are typically weekly and 50 minutes long. The number of sessions will depend on your goals and agreed together. I can provide short-term or open-ended therapy. We will discuss this in the initial appointment and review regularly.

I offer appointments in person – in a therapy room or outdoors (walk and talk therapy) or online via a secure and confidential, HIPAA compliant video chat.

My fees operate on a sliding scale of £70-130 for a 50 minute session. You are welcome to choose a fee that feels sustainable and fair to you within the sliding scale.
